About The Blog

Manipal Photo Blog was founded by “Preetam Nath“ to showcase the talent of photographers of Manipal University. The main motive was to create a platform for this immense pool of young, budding, aspiring and talented photographers to show their skills to the world, and this BLOG is exactly that place. This is THE PORTAL where the best photos are selected and showcased regularly.

The Blog became immensely popular within months of inception, and now boasts of a healthy family of regular visitors, as well as new visitors coming and appreciating all the photos everyday. Due to this popularity, the initiative of expanding to other colleges, universities in India, is being considered. Manipal University students get this kind of exposure of their works, why not others too? With this, we begin on a new direction, on a long and probably hectic, but gonna-be-fun journey ahead.

We are also in the works of creating an e-magazine. The sole aim of the e-magazine is to CREATE a QUALITY magazine on photography, more so, the work of photographers, their profiles, articles associated to pictures, photography tips, software and hardware reviews, poetry, etc. by a pool of 18-20 year olds. We aim for professional quality, and we shall deliver.

    • I was into photography. But I don’t have a camera with me now. Will get one soon. I’m into photography yes, but what I love more is to see something with my eyes, capturing it in digital or reel is secondary priority, honestly speaking.
