It was the first time that I had set my sight on her. Her eyes, her hair, her smile, that beautiful laugh, even that big nose looked awfully cute to me, all of them would suddenly dissolve everything in the surroundings so that I can see them and only them. Hours, days, weeks of wondering how to talk to her, how to approach her without getting off on a bad impression, how to impress her, crack the not-so-silly jokes to make her laugh, help her out with lessons and assignments, wait till the end of class to walk out with her.
It changes you, brings out a YOU which you yourself hadn’t known previously. You try to stop your bad habits, be good to everything and everybody. You become happy, and even at the silliest things, smile(and look like a jack-ass, day-dreamer!). When she reciprocates everything you do for her, it becomes the best thing in your life, something which you keep thinking of long after it happened. It refuses to go, and you refuse to let it.
And then comes the sleep, or lack thereof. “You know you are in love when you can’t fall asleep because reality is finally better than your dreams.” Her thoughts haunt you, in a way you like, and want all the time, all the time wondering what you would tell her, how you would make her happy, smile, be happy that you accomplished that, also thinking if she thinks about all this too, or is it just you going nuts!
Something about this thing called love, it allows you to talk using your eyes(yes, I mean even Star Trek didn’t have that! Or did it? :P). It’s not the perfect person who you fall in love with, it’s the imperfect person whose little imperfections seem perfect to you. Yes, love is this kind of a feeling.
It keeps you up till 4am at night, wondering if you should call her, or just let her be. Your heart really skips a beat when you do call, and she picks up saying, “I was thinking about you.” True, “Love is the irresistible desire to be desired irresistibly.“
This is the kind of feeling Love is. It’s hard to express it in words, it can’t be justified, to be quite honest, in words. It can only come this close. And when someone looks into your eyes, and says those 3 words we’ve heard again and again in life, but this time, not in a movie, not casually, but with every intent and emotion, it sweeps you off the floor, everytime. “A simple I love you means more than money.“
Oh and when the fights happen, it feels like the earth itself has started sulking. Everything looks gloomy, everything is not at all exciting. Nothing picks your interest, your mind refuses to stop thinking, never clear. True, Love can hurt a lot, sometimes, but “There is no remedy for love but to love more“.
I recently read this book by an Indian Author named Ravinder Singh, it’s titled I Too Had a Love Story. Actually I read it yesterday and finished it today(because I just couldn’t stop reading it!). It’s nothing exceptional, the writing, but the story, it’s soo gripping, I just had to read and continue to find out what happens. The end is heartbreaking, and it pained me for many hours after I read the book, and to find out it’s based on a TRUE Story.
I have to agree, “To love is to receive a glimpse of heaven.“ My mom and dad have a love story, but that will have to wait for some other time.
“Tis better to have loved and lost
Than never to have loved at all.”― Alfred Tennyson
I’m pretty sure all of you have a love story(or are yet to have, don’t worry, it will happen 😀).

oh, the giddiness of it all! 🙂
aa haha… 😛
There is only Love.
Indeed. Indeed
I hope for your sake that Google hasn’t already cached your post.
Although what you wrote was from the heart, a woman NEVER likes to have her parts pointed out as being “big” but “cute”.
Just trust me…get rid of the “big” and keep the “cute”. Your world and mine will be a better place if you make this tiny but cute edit;-)
It was intentional. It was written to show that despite any flaws, love overlooks it all, because the flaws seem like the qualities now.
I understand that was your intent, BUT women here would say, “Do you really think I have a big…” fill in the blank.
haha, but we laughed about it already 🙂 🙂
Glad to hear it mate.
Brilliant my friend! It is as you write, the absolute toppermost of the poppermost!!!
I feel soo good reading this. I can’t believe people like my writing. I’m sooo happy!!! Much needed, after this loong and tiring day!
Your writing is straight from your LIght filled Heart, thank you for sharing your Love and gifts with us All.
Have read that book… Sad ending though. But wonderfully written about the emotion called love!! 🙂
The ending made me very very sad..
Very nice.
thank you for your kindness chasingtheperfectmoment
good day to you!

Awesome! I love your use of pictures to make the story come alive. 🙂
You know, this has been some journey. First, setting up the blog, getting a steady stream of photos from photographers not only all over my country, India, but people from all over the world(thanks to wordpress!)
i LEARNt how channel traffic, create awesome posts, include relevant quotes or poetry, restarted writing after a really long time, integrated photos into them to bring a picture in everyone’s mind, not only with the text, but with a ready image this time!!!
Thanks Whitney for dropping by!
Love is indeed all those things. Sometime the fire dies down and you wonder what happened to all that passion. Then out of the blue you look at the person you’ve been with for years, realizing that everything you both do and say is in perfect harmony. Bending and swaying to whatever life throws at you like a beautiful tango. Even though you don’t have the passionate infatuation with each other like you did when love was young, it has been replaced by a deep understanding of each other. There is comfort in knowing you have come so far with this one person and have the rest of your lives to go. Like falling in love all over again for different reasons than when you first met.
All it takes is a little while away from each other, and BAM! You’ll realise what you’re missing!!!
Indeed
Very true 🙂

Love it. The writing is exceptional. I might look into this book you’re talking about too. I’m always open to new reads.

Good morning to you

Beautiful… You totally pitched Ravinder Singh’s book too!
Reading it is the reason I made this post in the first place 🙂
Your writing, not your photos, shone in this post. Well done.
thank you French Fry. I only started writing again recently after a long looong break!!
Your parents must have a wonderful love story.

Hey,,, loved browsing through! Did you clicked those shots! Gorgeous pictures I must say!! Love… Good choice! A universal emotion… Good work
They are by photographers from our University
Yep, love, an emotion felt by all, and hence this post, everyone can relate to it
I love your clear passionate post and especially the images. Lovely. May Love’s best always fill and guide you…may it be so for all of us.
My it be so for all of us Elizabeth…
Thank you
We seem designed to reproduce around age 14 and mostly have done that until recently…which fits perfectly the heightened emotions appearing just before, along with the expanding interest in the other sex. All cleverly programmed to cloak the lengthy, expensive and difficult task of raising kids to maturity, a longer resposibility for us than for any orher species, right?
One must admire the intricate perfection of our design no mater the source selected for attribution.
Shatespeare’s Juliet, I’ve read, was around 14—and had she lived, the romantic passion they shared would have matured into the more adult love needed to stabilize lives more suitable for raising developing children. A love less passionate but stronger for that, feelings that bind parents into unity but leave room for unclouded judgment…
Nothing’s free, but there are always rewards available, seems to me.
A nice analysis. Hmm yeah Even Juliet was 14 yeah..
It’s that phase when these feelings get introduced to man, and after that, it overwhelms or awes depending on person to person
It is beautiful feeling to remember those days when we found that love is wonderful, it is no need to understand nothing about it, you just have to let you go. I am not young any more but I can tell you that it will be great if you are able to keep that feeling with you always, no matter what, even when you become old if you are in love you will feel just good.
Don’t say that. Everyone can remain young. It’s your heart. You have to remain young at your heart, and love will flourish everywhere throughout life.
Ah, that feeling, that emotion! So well expressed here.
thank you Grumpy. I did my best
Beautiful pics!
thank you Stacy!!!
Great quotes and love the photos. Thanks for checking me out earlier today!
thanks!! welcome!
This was a lovely post…especially for love stuck beings like me…rofl…and the way you added the pinch to the pictures that made them just perfect. And hey thanks for reading and liking my posts 🙂
yeah, love struck people haha
You’re welcome
😉 oops..that was just a skipped spell…lol
haha, 😛 😛
Lovely post…. 🙂
thanks Jeni
A fine blog, pal — sensitive, touching and well-written in what I take to be ESL. The Alfred Lord Tennyson quote has a wise-guy American variation: “It is better to have loved and lost. Much better.” 😉
And that man Alfred is damn wise to have said that
Thanks pal
I will look for the book!
i only know of http://www.flipkart.com which sells online(but in India only)
Try for an ebook
will check it out..
🙂
I watched Indian Movies and also read authored by Indian writers..no problem will find it.
🙂 that’s awesome!
Thank you!
What a beautiful, positive post! You gave me chills and tears flowed down my eyes. Well done 🙂

The photography matches the beauty of these stories. Love it!
Thank you.. Glad you like it
Wow, she sure is blessed to have someone like you in her life, what a beautiful story. I have loved before but I have only fallen in love once. I know it’s true love because I’ve never felt this way before in my life about someone. I’m still waiting to see if he’s my destiny. Peace and all the happiness in the world for you both
I’m single 😛
LOL but still, thank you Amanda.
I wish you all the best for life too!
You’re single! Well you certainly will make a woman very happy one day with that soft heart and soul. Peace … and Thank you

thank you for sharing the quote Andy
true you said it well
Interesting Photos.
thanks
Such a romantic! I love it! Never stop that. My love story is an incredible one spanning several decades and much distant, kept alive through dreams, a psychic connection and persistent love; it’s documented in my memoir, “blue Star Exploding”, a completely honest, highly personal tale…I don’t know how exactly to leave links on comment pages (being fairly computer-green) but the memoir is accessible from several places on my blog…
I say go ahead and leave a Link of your memoir on my blog. Would love it if others read it too.
Thanks for giving me that permission, I appreciate it very much, and I would, but I’m not quite certain how to….for me so far linking anything to a comments page hasn’t worked out, not like other linking I’ve done…Maybe there’s something to it I’m missing?…
Just paste the link of the post it’s ok, it’ll work
I tried that…it didn’t work, I’ll try it again!
(P.S.)…”Would love it if others read it too”?…Does that mean you’ve read it?? If so, I thank you kindly for taking the time; the story means the world to me for probably obvious reasons…
I did start. Need some time. Doing loads of things. Including planning on the new BLOG project i’M WORKING on for the next 3 months
I understand…I appreciate your interest, period.
http://unsungpoet.wordpress.com/blue-star-exploding/ Well here it is, my deeply personal true story that still blows me away, but I’m not sure if it’s linking…(thanks again)
finally it’s linked !
Yay!! Thanks again!

Thank you for this. I have known being in love, just not being loved back. The hurt threatens to erase the good feelings and makes them difficult to recover. I do, though have hope of feeling them again, because there is nothing like being in love.
One sided love, it hurts, a lot. I know, I’ve seen my friends go through it. it sometimes drives u crazy!
Thank you for stopping by and liking my blog. And thank you for the reminder of what love is.
I’m glad you liked it Steven
Have a nice day 🙂
love is defined by its lack of definition
well, it means different for different people
Love your blog!! Beautifully thought out.
Yes.. I have many love stories but still waiting to live my “fairy tale”. 😉
It will happen Ashlie don’t worry.
Sweet post – well done.
thank you Rachael 🙂
lol…, I though this is your experience love story at first
Well, it is my experience, but the whole article isn’t dedicated to anyone in particular
Very thought provoking…..
Indeed Joesph. Thnx
I loved how you write of love and imperfections..
“It’s not the perfect person who you fall in love with, it’s the imperfect person whose little imperfections seem perfect to you.”
Nice! We look and feel love like everything’s perfect but really we just see beyond the imperfections. That’s the magic of love..it’s power. It can transform people.,move people. It just feels so great how people can write things about love.
Thanks for putting these things into words. I would love to read the book but i don’t know if it’s available here in the Philippines. 😦 I’ve always loved Nicholas Spark’s “Message in a Bottle” tragic and deep.
Oh and by the way, thanks for dropping by my blog. If you haven’t i wouldn’t have the chance to read yours. Thank you, thank you, thank you..I too took a loooooong break from writing. Glad there’s Windows Live Writer though, now I can write drafts even offline. 😀
I’m happy you liked my post. I’m not usually into love stories and such, but after reading that book, it was something I HAD to do 🙂
beutifully put.
thank you Claurie!
Thank you for “liking” my blog. New love is exactly as you described it!

Thank you for sharing your definition of love. Coming from an abusive background it is difficult for me to understand what love is, especially from a man. I appreciate you sharing this. It helps me know that maybe men can love.
Men can love. I’m sorry for what you’ve had to go through. But all men aren’t alike, I want you to know that.
Thank you.

no prob.
My husband and I met after one of his rugby games and talked about books for hours. We’ve been married 27 1/2 years, through thick and thin, two lovely girls, and him getting cancer (but, I hasten to add, he’s now cancer-free, thank the Lord) and I pray we have many, may more good and great years together. It’s time for us to dream some new dreams and set some new goals together as well as individually. Wait for that right person. It’s worth the wait! And then do everything you can to make it work.
you’ve been together for soo long. wow. Power to your love
Happy to read your story 🙂

Nice photos! Check my blog out, more to come!!
I have sent your link to my friend from Pakistan named Zahid. He is a college stu.dent whose heart is tender (like yours) and who will appreciate (as I have) the opportunity to read your blog. If you hear from him, know that it is I (JanBeek) – known to Z as “TeacherJan” who sent him to you. You inspired me, just as I see you have done to so many others. Keep on writing, Manipal, you have a real gift! ;o)
Greate article. Keep writing such kind of information on your page.
